The project has changing contents, which result from current research topics of the field and thus mainly from topics of virtual product development. This can include the handling of concrete problems of our industrial partners, such as the conception of data models, the planning of production processes, the design of products, as well as the development of software components which are used for specific tasks. In addition, depending on the requirements of our industrial cooperation partners, practice-oriented projects can be carried out with companies. In addition, the groups will research further aspects of the subject area and present them in a short presentation and a paper.
Possible topics include the development of methods and digital tools for virtual product creation. These includes among others PLM, CAD, CAE, DMU, Digital Factory, Reverse Engineering, Augmented Reality (AR) und Virtual Reality (VR).
The students should learn to independently develop solutions for interdisciplinary tasks and to successfully implement complex virtual product development projects in interdisciplinary project teams.
